DESCRIPTION: Professional - Promotions and Radio Spots
• Included are copy samples from four FM radio stations and a marketing
concept for a WYRK Thanksgiving themed fundraiser.
DESCRIPTION: Digital Photography - Original Images
• Each of the selected photos were taken with my personal digital camera
using various methods in different settings, including travel photography
from my semester in Australia. Subjects included people in action, lush
scenery, animals, and featured varied use of color, light, shadow, focus,
and location.
DESCRIPTION: Class Projects - Print, Flash, and Video Pieces
• The first three examples were from a joint Advertising class where
students were asked to work together to create a new identity for an
existing snack product. Designs and copy were collaborative between
design and advertising copy classes.
• The fourth example is a mock ad for Macy’s fall sale.
• The three examples featuring the fictional “Sphere Wireless” was part of
a final project that required students to create flash web banners and
html emails to market a cell phone carrier.
• “College: The Game” was an interactive game created with Macromedia
Director. It is best experienced with Adobe Shockwave.
• The mock opening credits for “Rent: The Movie” were created long
before the blockbuster was released in 2005. It featured actors from the
Broadway show and a song from the Broadway soundtrack.
• The short Buffalo Bandits presentation was created in Powerpoint and
highlighted the newest season. The background splash was created in
Photoshop.
DESCRIPTION: Professional - Yroswell Campaign
• Yroswell is a campaign created for Generation Y, people ages 12 to 26.
It was designed to be a dynamic and interactive way to bring young
people together while also being an educational resource about cancer,
fundraising, and science. I was a part of the team that took the
campaign from concept to launch, including the Yroswell website,
advertising, and outreach.
• At Pure Contemporary Online Magazine, I had the opportunity to design
web banners, write product copy, and learn Search Engine
Optimization.
• Some of my featured freelance work includes logo and branding for a
local skating retail company and marketing concepts for a local ad
agency.
• Included as examples of written work are a full television script, copy for
a Blood Donor Center advertising campaign, and billboard copy for
Roswell’s Paintbox Project.
• For a final project in Audio Production class at Canisius, students were
asked to create a remix using two songs and effects from the program
Pro Tools. I used a combination of The Eagles’ “Victim of Love” and
Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition”.
